Donate
Donations are a critical element and cornerstone in MEOW’s ability to care for the animals and sustain our programs. Items and experiences donated to our auction fundraiser generate interest, excitement, and revenue at our event, and are key to our efforts to raise over $200,000 with this event each year.
Monetary donations are always gratefully appreciated as part of this event and throughout the year, providing a safety net for the animals and our organization.
Interested in Donating an Item?
If you are a business interested in donating an item, being part of our fundraiser and supporting the animals of MEOW, we will be accepting items until May 7th. Items may be shipped, or delivered to the shelter. Please use the link below to complete a donation form. Mailing address will be listed on your email confirmation. Thank you!
Auction Donation Guidelines and Acceptance Policy
- Completed procurement forms must be received by May 1st, 2025.
- Items must be received by May 7th, 2025.
- If an item pick-up is requested, the item should be located within 25 miles of the shelter in Kirkland.
- All items should be in new or like-new condition.
- The item should not require the winning bidder to pay any additional fees to redeem it.
- We cannot guarantee the accommodation of excessively large items or non pet themed art.
- Please make sure that any item you donate is described correctly and clearly in the procurement form.
- We may package your item with others, add more specific language to the description and/or add images to create an appealing auction package.
- We may alter the value provided of the item if our research shows that a different value is appropriate.
- The item may be used in another valuable way or declined if the auction has too many items of a similar nature or is not deemed appropriate for the auction at the Auction Committee’s discretion. Desired items include dining gift cards, local experiences, pet themed items for pets and humans, wine, services, event tickets and other unique but universally appealing items.
- Items that are not sold or are left unclaimed after one year may be re-auctioned or used for another purpose at the Auction Committee’s discretion.
Item Donation Ideas
The following types of items are always extremely popular with our guests and bidders.
- Dining gift cards to local restaurants, food trucks, brew pubs, other eating establishments.
- Tickets to sporting events, plays, museums, musical performances, movie theaters, and other events.
- Pet items for playtime or mealtime. This year we already have a lot of pet beds so we’re not in need of more.
- Household décor and garden items with pet themes.
- Gift certificates for services such as: window cleaning, lawn and garden care, estate planning, etc.
- Wine and beer tasting events as well as wine and beer.
- Weekend getaways at hotels, timeshares, other rental properties.
- One-of-a-kind events such as: chef’s dinner party, lake boat cruises, small group classes to learn something new.
Interested in donating, but short on ideas? A monetary donation on our website with a note that says “for an auction item” will allow us to pool funds and purchase a higher value item.
Give a Monetary Donation – Make a Difference
At our event each year, we offer our “Make a Difference” Paddle Raise to allow our supporters to truly make a difference in the lives of the animals. Funds raised during the Paddle Raise support our Mercy Fund, which is used for either significant or emergency veterinary care and helps us save lives. Last year, we raised over $100,000 in our Paddle Raise which provided significant support for several animals in the past year.
Watch the videos of animals whose lives have been saved by those who donate to our Mercy Fund.
